We are equally committed to ensuring that all our employees uphold these obligations. What is Personal Data?

Depending on the purposes of collection, examples of personal information that K1 Recruitment may collect from you include name, date of birth, age, nationality, ID, phone number, contact address, salary, email address, marital status, educational and professional background, banking details, objective and subjective information about your personal interests or habits.

• For internal assessment and potential candidate matching; 
• To provide tailored recruitment services;
• For submission of the required information to potential employers when processing the employment application;
• For reporting to or complying with requests or orders from the relevant government authorities or agencies such as criminal, financial and educational background checks and inspections carried out by the Employment Agency Administration of Hong Kong.

How we collect data

• Through telephone or in-person interviews; 
• Hard copy or digital copy (e.g. email) of application form, CV or documents;
• Through nominated referees;
• From clients to whom services are supplied.

To whom we disclose and transfer data

• Potential employers who use our service;
• Government authorities or agencies as required by law;
• Referees;
• Third parties such as our partner organisations or associates that are under a duty of confidentiality to K1 Recruitment, as necessary for any of the purposes as stated above. 

Other than to the parties and for the purposes set out in this policy, we will not disclose your personal information to any third party without your prior consent.

Data Access, Alteration and Retention

While we have taken appropriate measures to secure the personal information you provide to us, we cannot guarantee that the transmission of your data over the Internet is completely secure. Upon receipt of your personal data, we will ensure that your personal data, whether in electronic or physical form, is handled and stored securely in our own system.

We will not obtain your personal data for longer than necessary unless you give us consent for your data to be retained for a longer period of time, or for any legal reason as required by law. 

You have the right to request access to, correct and update any personal information that we hold about you. However, we will not use your personal information in a way that significantly differs from what was explained at the time we collected your data without notifying you and obtaining your consent.
